We sat down with our Chief Trichologist to discuss a topic that is generating massive excitement in the medical community: Stem Cell-based regeneration. While traditional transplants 'move' hair from one place to another, stem cell therapy aims to 'regrow' what was lost.
The process begins with a micro-liposuction procedure to harvest adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs). These cells are unique because of their incredible potential to repair and regenerate tissue. Once harvested, they are processed in our state-of-the-art facility and injected into thinning areas of the scalp.
"We aren't just giving the scalp a temporary boost," says our lead trichologist. "The stem cells communicate with dormant follicles, sending chemical signals that trigger them to enter the 'anagen' or growth phase once again."
Results from our preliminary cohorts have shown not only an increase in hair count but also a significant improvement in hair diameter and overall scalp health. This procedure is proving to be a game-changer for patients with early-stage androgenetic alopecia who aren't yet candidates for full surgery.
While still considered an emerging therapy, the safety profile is excellent because it uses the patient's own cells. As we refine the concentration and delivery protocols, stem cell regeneration may soon become a standard 'step one' in our comprehensive hair restoration plans.
